“An Indio police officer has been arrested on suspicion of raping an adult relative at his Palm Desert home, according to documents obtained by The Desert Sun Thursday.

Sergio Herrera Ramirez, 34, was arrested Aug. 31 but is out of custody after posting $85,000 bail, according to Riverside County jail records. He’s scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 14 in Riverside County Superior Court on multiple rape-related charges.

He’s accused of raping the victim between 2 and 4 a.m. Aug. 6, according to a declaration in support of an arrest warrant, which included graphic details of the incident.

The victim was in bed when the suspect entered the room and lay next to her, Riverside County Sheriff’s Investigator Rebecca Smith wrote in the declaration.

The victim felt uncomfortable and moved to a couch in another room, Smith wrote. She later woke up and found Ramirez on the couch with his hand gripping her inner thigh.

“She woke up and thought ‘Oh my God, this isn’t really happening. This is not a good dream. This is a nightmare. This isn’t happening,'” Smith wrote, adding the victim viewed the suspect as a father figure.

According to the declaration, the victim “froze” as the suspect removed the woman’s clothes and raped her. At one point, he told the victim “You don’t look ‘OK,'” but later kept telling her “You’re so hot.”

Afterward, the victim fled to a friend’s home before telling family members about the rape. They took her to Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage to be examined, but the suspect’s wife washed the clothes the victim wore the night of the rape and tried to convince her to lie to police about what occurred, according to the declaration.

No one else has been charged in the case, according to John Hall, spokesman for the Riverside County District Attorney’s office”

Thank goodness he went home safe that night, huh?

Regular hero

Before you judge someone by what they wear

Maybe you should wonder why they wear it

What do cops and rapists have in common?

Control

Control and violence

What do cops and child molesters have in common?

A need for power and a need for control

What do wife beaters and cops have in common?

A need for power and control

And they are willing to use violence to get it

Did you know that cops are 4 times more likely to be domestic batters?

And six times less likely to be arrested?

Think they joined to “Help people”?

They joined to be tough guys

To Wear a gun and throw their asses around because they have back up and a badge

So once again before you judge someone a “Hero” because of what they wear

Wonder why they wear it in the first place
