Typical cop: Sheriff Joe Arpaio convicted of criminal contempt

Just like every other cop out there; The law applies to everyone but them. Maybe they will dress him up in a pink jump suit and let him sweat it out in the desert heat like he did to the prisoners he jailed.   What a hypocritical douche bag. I hope they slam him with the maximum sentence possible.

“The immigration policies that elevated former Sheriff Joe Arpaio to fame were the same that would ultimately lead to his political demise, and now have convicted him of a federal crime.

On Monday, U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton found Arpaio guilty of criminal contempt of court, finding that he willfully violated a federal judge’s order.

The sentencing phase will begin Oct. 5. Arpaio faces up to six months in confinement, a sentence equivalent to that of a misdemeanor.

Bolton’s ruling follows a five-day June and July trial, in which Department of Justice prosecutors argued that the 85-year-old had intentionally flouted a federal judge’s orders halting Arpaio’s signature immigration round-ups.

The verdict is a rejection of Arpaio’s defense: That the order was unclear and that, although mistakes had been made, the violations were unintended. Willful intent is required to prove criminal, rather than civil contempt.

Arpaio issued a statement Monday saying he will appeal the ruling and will continue to press for a jury trial. “

“The evidence at trial proves beyond a reasonable doubt and the Court finds that
Judge (G. Murray) Snow issued a clear and definite order enjoining Defendant from detaining persons for further investigation without reasonable suspicion that a crime has been or is being committed; that Defendant knew of the order; and that Defendant willfully violated the order by failing to do anything to ensure his subordinates’ compliance and by directing them to continue to detain persons for whom no criminal charges could be filed,” Bolton wrote in the ruling.

“Because the Court finds that Defendant willfully violated an order of the court, it finds Defendant guilty of criminal contempt.”

To perve: Palm Beach county deputy arrested on 30 child porn charges

Just remember this: The day before this pervert was busted, he was a hero. He was a bona fida kitten rescuing cop who could do no wrong.   The day before this slimebag was busted for perving on children , he was a sworn officer of the court.  That’s right, the day before, his word would be given the weight of truth by a judge simply because he was a “Sworn officer of the court”.     After his “Truthful” testimony, he could go home and masturbate to videos and images of small children.      This is the face of the police state and don’t forget it. It is not about who they are or what  do. It is all about blue and representing the power of the state.  If they beat brutalize and kill people in the streets they get a pass. Only when one does something so egregious that it cannot be overlooked is something done about it. They will lie about killings, falsify evidence and stonewall the public until truth comes out and they are faced with protests in the streets.     This guy’s crime? Well an outsider gave him up for uploading images. Look at the powerful language used when the official statement was issued by the PBSO ““The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards and never forgets about its duty to preserve the public’s trust,” the sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement. “Unfortunately sometimes an employee makes a bad decision which leads to misconduct”      Seriously??? A bad decision? A bad decision is when you decide to continue a pursuit in the rain. This guy is a freaking child molester.      Remember this guy the next time you sit in a court room. Remember him anytime you hear “Truthful ” testimony given by LEO. Remember him the next time you hear “Sworn officer of the court”. But most importantly, remember him the next time you look at a cop. Look past the blue and wonder who that really is enforcing the laws of the state.

“A Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy had more than 30 pornographic videos and pictures of children on his laptop and cellphone, according to West Palm Beach police records.

Adam Godbey, 38, was booked Thursday afternoon into the Palm Beach County Jail on more than two dozen counts of possessing child pornography. Judge Caroline Shepherd ordered he undergo a mental health evaluation.

In late May, someone notified the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline about pornographic images of children being uploaded to a website.

A search of the IP address determined they were uploaded by a Comcast customer, whose IP address was linked to Godbey, a four-year veteran with the sheriff’s office.

On Wednesday, West Palm police searched Godbey’s home. Police found a cellphone and a laptop hidden above a kitchen cabinet. Dozens of images and videos found on those devices depicted young girls and boys engaging in sexual acts, records state.       ”

“Godbey, a road patrol deputy, was praised by the sheriff’s office in 2015 for rescuing a kitten from under a car in Belle Glade.

The driver reportedly told Godbey, “you are the best, I love the cops.”

“The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards and never forgets about its duty to preserve the public’s trust,” the sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement. “Unfortunately sometimes an employee makes a bad decision which leads to misconduct. This misconduct was reported, investigated and determined to be criminal in nature, resulting in the charges.”

Scumbag cop with 25 complaints re-hired and assigned to Airport

Go figure ” where officers who are “too often in the limelight” are sometimes sent to work”.  No wonder all the cops at the airport are douchebags. Give me a break. This piece of bully trash in blue needs to see t5he inside of a jail cell.   But you can tell by their actions that they do not care;  All they care about is his career. Not all of the citizens that he has abused. Oh that’s right “proven to be false or were Favorit’s word against the citizen’s.” But what is the word of a lying degenerate cop? Don’t think they lie? Check out this compilation from the month of June- https://deborahleejarrett.com/2017/06/22/compilation-of-lying-cops-6-22-2017/  There is no reason in the world that a cop’s word should be taken over any other person’s. They have as much , if not more incentive to prevaricate.

“After more than two dozen complaints — ranging from unprofessional behavior to excessive force — in a 3 1/2-year period, Orlando Police Officer Michael Favorit Jr. was fired in July 2016.

But he was rehired nearly a year later and is now assigned to Orlando International Airport, where officers who are “too often in the limelight” are sometimes sent to work, Chief John Mina said. Interactions at the airport are less about enforcement and more about customer service, he added.

“I think it will help his career,” Mina said, adding that the assignment will be temporary.

Hundreds of pages of police documents reveal 25 citizen complaints and police internal affairs investigations of Favorit’s behavior from 2013 to April 2016, a number the chief called high and “concerning.”

Favorit, who started at OPD five years ago, declined to comment.

Mina said there’s no average number for complaints per officer, and it often varies, depending on where the officer is assigned. But in 2016, the department looked into about 230 written complaints and conducted internal affairs investigations against the agency’s more than 700 sworn officers, about 450 of whom are first responders.

Favorit was not disciplined for any complaints until he was fired last year after an investigation concluded he and another officer went on an unauthorized chase in December 2015, then tried to cover it up. The city gave him his job back in May, after Mina said it was clear an arbitrator was likely to order the city do so with back pay.

He said Favorit was “counseled” by his superiors, had a meeting with a deputy chief and was issued a body camera. Mina said most of the complaints were minor, proven to be false or were Favorit’s word against the citizen’s.”

Update: Cop heard scary noise before killing Australian woman

What a bunch of insufferable cowards and bullies. Over in Afghanistan a U.S. soldier cannot shoot an enemy combatant unless they are actively holding a weapon.   In the U.S hundreds of unarmed citizens are gunned down every year because some “Hero” feared for his life.    This woman died because one coward heard a frightening noise.  Do you know what the difference is? In Afghanistan they are trying to “Win hearts and minds”.     Here, they don’t care because on their turf, you exist in a police state.  Don’t like it? Well you may well end up jailed on some trumped up charge if you tell them that. Resisting, obstructing, whatever charge they want to call it.     Then after you are processed by the system you get to appear before a corrupt judge who’s sole means of income is derived by the state collecting fees and fines from you and other fine citizens.    Sometimes along the way though, innocent people get killed. But hey, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.    This is America, land of the free.

“MINNEAPOLIS — Five days after the police shooting of Justine Damond in south Minneapolis, Police Chief Janee Harteau spoke publicly for the first time, CBS Minnesota reports.

Harteau has been out of town since Saturday’s shooting, but returned to work on Thursday.

The Australian native was shot to death by a Minneapolis police officer Saturday night, after she called police to get help for a woman she thought was being attacked in an alley near her home. She then dialed 911 to make sure authorities were responding to the correct address, CBS Minnesota reports. Damond was shot as she came up to the squad’s driver side window, by Officer Mohamed Noor.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is conducting the investigation. Harteau said she’s asked that the process be expedited to provide transparency.

Harteau has been under growing pressure to speak out about her department’s officer involved shooting, with some in community questioning why she wouldn’t cut her vacation short and return with answers. Harteau addressed reporters just after 5 p.m., saying she was backpacking in the mountains, making it very difficult to return sooner. She said she had spoken with Damond’s fiance Don on Thursday morning.

Though she defended Noor’s training, Harteau says the shooting “did not have to happen” and that Noor’s actions “go against who we are in the department.”

“Justine didn’t have to die. Based on the BCA information, this should not have happened.”

“Noor’s partner, Matthew Harrity, told investigators that he and Noor heard a loud noise immediately before Damond approached the squad car.

The police chief was told by Damond’s fiance that people are scared to call 911 following the deadly incident, CBS News’ Jamie Yuccas reports.

The police chief is working to regain the community’s trust at this point and the chief reassured Damond’s family that she will do everything in her power to make sure justice is served for Damond, Yuccas reports.

Noor has been on the force for 21 months, while Harrity has been an officer for one year.

Damond, 40, was a yoga teacher and meditation instructor.”

Court rules to protect names of lying cops

You can’t have one without the other. The courts and the corrupt judges sitting on the bench need these lying cops to bring proceeds into their courts.   No lies, no convictions, no money to run a hugely expensive system.  The courts criminal courts have now become a self perpetuating bureaucracy.     Right or wrong does not exist only revenue does. Take a plea , pay the fine and pay the salaries of those set out to persecute you.

“The names of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies who’ve lied, stolen, falsified reports and committed other types of “moral” misconduct are confidential and cannot be handed over to prosecutors — even in pending criminal cases in which the deputies are listed as potential witnesses — a Los Angeles appeals court ruled Tuesday.

The decision by the state’s 2nd District Court of Appeal makes clear just how secret officers’ identities and personnel files are in California. The ruling is also the latest turn in the fight over a secret list compiled by Los Angeles County’s sheriff of 300 deputies whose history of misconduct could damage their credibility if they are ever called to testify in criminal cases.

“It’s a victory for cops everywhere,” said Elizabeth Gibbons, an attorney for the Assn. for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, the union that represents rank-and-file deputies.

Last fall, the union sued the department over Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell’s attempt to disclose the names to the district attorney’s office. The union had argued that revealing the names to prosecutors, even in pending cases, would violate state peace officer confidentiality laws and draw unfair scrutiny of deputies whose mistakes might have happened long ago.

The appeals court agreed on the strict confidentiality of law enforcement personnel files. But it left open the possibility that names could be disclosed pursuant to a court order.

California has some of the strictest protections on law enforcement officer records in the country. Discipline hearings, personnel files and even the names of officers accused in internal affairs investigations are secret.

“Notifying an outside agency, even a prosecutor’s office, that a deputy has an administratively founded allegation of misconduct involving moral turpitude cannot be characterized as anything other than disclosing information obtained from the peace officer’s personnel file,” the court said in its opinion.

But some advocates for police transparency slammed the decision.

“There should not be greater concern for protecting officers with histories of lying, domestic abuse, evidence tampering and other immoral conduct from public scrutiny than for ensuring that individuals accused of crimes receive a fair trial,” said Melanie Ochoa, a staff attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

The ACLU, along with other advocacy groups, filed a friend-of-the-court brief in March, asking the appeals court to reject the deputies union’s request that none of the names of problem deputies be sent to prosecutors.

Brady vs. Maryland

McDonnell’s effort to send deputies’ names to prosecutors had nothing to do with recommending that the officers be charged with crimes, the department contended. Instead it would have been a heads-up to the district attorney’s office that the deputies were potentially vulnerable to attacks on their credibility if they were ever called to testify, and that prosecutors would potentially have to alert defense attorneys about the names.

Under the 1963 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Brady vs. Maryland, prosecutors are obligated to alert defendants to any evidence that could aid the defense. That evidence includes information that could undermine an officer’s credibility. Not doing so could result in wrongful convictions.

Right now, police agencies in at least a dozen counties in California regularly do precisely what McDonnell was attempting. Some departments, including those in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura, have been giving prosecutors the names of problem officers for well over a decade.

Legal experts say Tuesday’s decision could begin to change that.

Although the ruling pertains to the Sheriff’s Department, analysts say it could embolden police unions across the state to refuse a prosecutor’s request to identify problematic officers who might be called as witnesses.”

Woman calls police, frightened “Hero” shoots her dead

And to make her even more frightening…. She was in her Jammies. I think we all know that this degenerate is going to fall back on the old “Feared for his life” defense.   But what is wrong when the bar is higher to shoot a foreign fighter in a hostile country than to gun down an  American citizen?     Don’t think for a minute that you are safe in the presence of a cop. Your life is in danger any time you have contact with LEO. They are cowards and  will shoot at anything that frightens them. That means you, your dog, your cat or some woman in her pajamas. Just remember that it is we, the people who give them this authority. Remember that it is us who pay them, us who elect the Sheriffs and us who elect the politicians that make appointments.   Think you live in a free country? Think again. You live in a police state and will continue to do so as long as you condone what they do.   By not doing anything, you condone what they do. The time to resist is coming. When it is your time, do your part.

“MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — A woman who called 911 to report a possible sexual assault was shot and killed by a police officer late Saturday night in an incident that is drawing worldwide attention, reports say.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports sources with knowledge of the shooting say Justine Damond, 40, of Sydney, Australia, was in her pajamas and talking to the driver of the patrol car when the officer in the passenger seat drew his weapon and shot Damond through the door of the vehicle.

The officers’ body cameras were turned off at the time of the shooting. No weapons were found at the scene.

An autopsy shows Damond, formerly Justine Ruszczyk, died of a wound to her abdomen, CNN reports.”

Video: Hero cop beats homeless black woman in store

Think about this seriously: We have given these people authority over us?

You and I have agreed to give our freedom up to armed thugs?

We the people as a nation approve of beating , killing and bullying on our streets?

I think not

The time is coming that we need to take our freedom back

We now live in a defacto police state on both the federal and the local level

We need to get the domestic warriors off of our streets and put them behind bars where they belong
