Are you getting the idea yet that this isn’t just a “Few bad apples” ? This is endemic in PDs all across the country. It is not the job; It is the personality type that they are picking to do the job. These are not people hired to be public servants. These are people who are being hired to be the blunt instrument of unquestioned authority. These thugs end up on these pages because they have more in common with wife beaters, child molesters and bullies than they do with the common man. And the state that they represent? It doesn’t matter because these are the guys that bring in their paychecks. Does the Judge sitting there care about justice? Hell no. He cares about fines and penalties because that is what fills his wallet on Friday. The only time that the state cares is when these cops get busted and make big news. Until then they need to make the system work and it takes lot of money to do that.
Of course, attorneys for the two disgraced officers have been following the … of quid-pro-quo with the officers for her release on the drug arrest. … turned defense attorney who specializes in rape and sexual assault cases.
And then the scumbag meets a fitting end… Suicide while waiting out a SWAT team. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. In the end you cannot hide who you are. A real tough guy bully who obviously had to have it his way. No warning signs here, I am sure the guy’s behavior was perfectly normal. As a matter of fact the Cleveland police officer who won the department’s distinguished service medal in 2009. A regular good apple right? Yeah, sure thing. That “Few bad apples” thing is a myth. It takes someone corrupt to work in the culture of violence and corruption that exists in America’s P.D. s. Adios Amigo and good riddance.
“Authorities said Tuesday a former Cleveland police officer who allegedly cut off his GPS tracker and went on the run one week before he was set to go on trial for rape and kidnapping has killed himself after a standoff with police.
Tommie Griffin, 52, was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for the bond violation, according to Pete Elliott of the U.S. Marshals Service.
Griffin was tracked to a house in Cleveland, where Cleveland Police SWAT was called in, Elliott said Tuesday. Police tried to call him out of the house, but received no response from him. When police entered, they found Griffin dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
Elliott said Griffin had an accomplice in his escape. The accomplice took Griffin to a motel for Saturday and Sunday night and then to the home — described as that of a friend of Griffin’s — where SWAT surrounded him. Elliott said on Tuesday the accomplice would be charged, but provided no further details.
Griffin was arrested for rape, assault and kidnapping after allegedly attacking his girlfriend in January, The Associated Press said.
He allegedly pistol-whipped her and fired two shots next to her, the AP said.”
Well, this guy gives new meaning to the old “Stop resisting!” phrase doesn’t he? But remember this: Only one hour before this scum was busted, he was “A sworn officer of the court”. If it was his word against an inmate, he was given the weight of truth. That is how much that oath and badge are worth. Do you think that this guy is an anomaly? Just one of the “Few bad apples?” well he is not. The dirty little secret is that cops are more likely to commit crimes of violence than the average person. That’s right, the guy with the gun and the badge who pulls you over on a dark highway could well be a psychopath looking for victims. Stay safe and stay away. Any encounter with ANY LEO could end your life or freedom. Teach your children not to put themselves in danger. Call an adult if approached by LEO and make sure that EVERY encounter is recorded no matter how minor.
OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — http://okcfox.com/news/local/doc-correction-officer-arrested-for-11-felony-counts
by Jonathan Miller
“The Oklahoma Department of Corrections reports a corrections officer has been arrested for first-degree rape, two counts of forcible oral sodomy and eight counts of lewd, indecent acts with a child under 16.
Christopher Adams, 46, was taken into custody on Friday by the Oklahoma City police and DOC Fugitive Apprehension & Investigations agents. Adams is currently in the Oklahoma County Jail.
The OKCPD got in touch with DOC on August 1st, requesting his employment information. On October 12th the Oklahoma County district attorney notified DOC they were filing charges against Adams.
Adams was removed from contact with inmates, according to DOC Communications Director Matt Elliott.
“We have cooperated and will continue to assist in any way we can with this investigation,” DOC director Joe M. Allbaugh said. “We are not aware of any other potential victims. If there are any, we encourage them to come forward.”
Adams was employed by DOC in November of 2014 and served at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center, as well as security for hospitalized inmates.”
Don’t feel bad if a lying cop costs you some freedom or a heap of money. Truth doesn’t matter when you are given default “Hero” status and as a “Sworn officer of the court” your testimony is given the weight of truth. That is unless you catch them on camera; They might lie, but video doesn’t. Stay safe and make sure every encounter is taped. Your wallet and your freedom could depend on it.
This is not a few bad apples. This is what happens any time you turn over the LEO bushel basket. This is who these people are and it pervades the ranks from top to bottom. Go from one state to the next and the story is the same: Anytime they are investigated widespread corruption is found. As Americans, free men and women, is this what we signed up for? Corrupt and violent thugs roaming our streets and controlling our cities? How many people must die and be imprisoned before we as a people say that “Enough is Enough?”
Well, that time is coming. In the video age, they can no longer hide who they are. 10 Yr. old kids now pass video links around of cops beating people, shooting pets and abusing the citizenry in general.
That time is coming and it is up to all of us to do our part. Do not be silent. Do not let them have default “Hero” status. Video every encounter with them that you see and spread it around. Do not look away anymore and let them be who they are. Stand up… And do what is right, because they won’t.
Former HPD Maj. Gordon Shiraishi, 61, and HPD officer Bobby Nguyen, 43, are the first people arrested in a corruption probe linked to former Police Chief Louis Kealoha and his wife, Katherine, a deputy city prosecutor.
Shiraishi has been charged with obstruction of justice, while Nguyen has been charged with conspiracy to obstruct.
“Corrupt activities, such as those alleged to have been committed, erode the public’s faith in law enforcement,” said FBI Special Agent in Charge Paul Delacourt, in a news release.
“The citizens of Hawaii demand and deserve diligent police officers who adhere to the highest standards of conduct. Police corruption is among the FBI’s highest priorities and we are committed to investigating and prosecuting to the fullest extent those who violate the civil rights of others.”
In detailed complaints unsealed Monday, Kealoha is identified as “co-conspirator 6.” It’s the first time the former chief is identified in court documents as a player in the conspiracy to lie to federal authorities.
The former head of HPD has not been arrested, but attorneys for people involved believe the arrests of Nguyen and Shiraishi send a message.
“This matter has not concluded… if they don’t cooperate they will be arrested,” says Myles Breiner, attorney for the Kealohas. Breiner says he is not surprised by the arrests but did question the need to execute them on a Sunday believing it was a way for the prosecution to get more attention to the case.
“If it happened on a Friday, or a normal business day, the arrested would have been processed and they would have been released immediately. To do it on a Sunday, on a slow news day, so it would get the most attention. So it was the top story,” says Breiner.
In court Monday, special prosecutor Colin McDonald said Shiraishi and Nguyen violated the oath they took to protect the people.
The case is tied to the theft of the Kealohas’ mailbox in June 2013, a crime the FBI says was made up to frame Gerard Puana, who is Katherine Kealoha’s uncle. At the time, the two sides were involved in a bitter family dispute over money.”
“Puana’s attorney, Ali Silvert, says the charges against Nguyen and Shiraishi are significant, and just the beginning, “This has been a long time in coming,” Silvert says, “Mr Puana feels very vindicated and very happy at this point that the prosecution has moved to this stage.”
In December, a retired Honolulu police officer pleaded guilty to lying under oath as part of the conspiracy to frame the Kealohas’ uncle. Niall Silva was a detective in CIU. Silva is now a key witness in the case. He is awaiting sentencing for his role in the alleged fake mailbox theft, but that can’t happen until after he testifies against the others. His attorney, Bill Harrison, says Silva is anxious to get that done.
Hey kids! They’re back! Those wacky boys and girls in blue are once again here to grace the pages of the news reports. Just a few bad apples right? Yeah, sure thing, just read on. Page after page and offense after offense. And just remember this….. The day before they were busted they may have been there to pull YOU over on a dark highway or testify in court. Stay safe, stay away from LEO. Any time you are in the presence of armed people of unknown character YOU ARE IN DANGER. Make sure you always, always, video every encounter for your own safety and freedom
