“The arrest and punches were caught on camera by KGW. The footage shows Thompson punching 28-year-old Kevin Straw in the head at least 14 times after Thompson and other deputies took Straw to the ground near a post office in Detroit.

The sheriff’s office said Straw was taken into custody because he kept yelling while emergency responders were coordinating a search for two missing fishermen and refused to stay away when told to leave at least twice by deputies. The fishermen, Josh Cox and Corbin Cox, were found safe later that day.”
