And there you have it; You never know who the man with the gun is. “He’s a cop, he risks his life everyday” “It’s one of the Heroes in blue..” It’s just a few bad apples”…. Bullshit and more bullshit. These are guys who choose to control others for a living. These are guys who are 2 to 4 times more likely to commit domestic violence than the average person (1). These are guys who routinely lie, beat and steal as part of their daily routine (2) These are guys that you may not want to be pulled over by on a dark lonely highway.  Stay safe…

“A Denver police officer has been arrested and jailed on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman he had met last month while responding to a call at her home, the Denver Police Department said Saturday.

DPD announced in a news release that Johnny Leon-Alvarez, 29, was arrested after he was named as a suspect in the investigation of a sex assault reported early Friday. He has been a Denver police officer since 2018 and was suspended without pay after the arrest, the release said.

An arrest affidavit says Leon-Alvarez met the 27-year-old victim in December when he was among officers who responded to her home. She had called police “regarding an argument she had with her significant other.”

After meeting her, the affidavit says, Leon-Alvarez began contacting the woman.

“One of the officers who responded began texting her afterward to check on her,” the document says. “Over time the (texts) became flirty, until the previous evening (Thursday) when they arranged to go on a date.”

The woman told police that Leon-Alvarez took her to Dave & Busters, an arcade and restaurant, on Thursday night. She said she recalled drinking, and at midnight the officer drove her home, the affidavit says.

“She tried to say goodnight at the door,” the report says. “She did not remember how he ended up coming in the house.”

The affidavit says police were called to her home at 2:55 a.m. Friday, and it says the woman’s roommate corroborated some details of her report, including that the woman protested any physical activity.”

(1) ” Domestic violence is 2 to 4 times more common in police families than in the general population. In two separate studies, 40% of police officers self-report that they have used violence against their domestic partners within the last year. In the general population, it’s estimated that domestic violence occurs in about 10% of families” Purple berets, Women’s advocacy, http://purpleberets.org/

Who’s pulling you over? 8th Paterson Cop arrested for stealing during illegal traffic stops

Just a few bad apples right? Of course it is and that would explain why I have hundreds of pages and thousands of stories posted here. These cops lying, stealing and worse are not anomalies, but rather the norm.    Why tell the truth when you can lie and it will believed because of your blue privilege? Why not swagger and throw your ass around when you are backed up by all of your cohorts who do the same?   It is not a far jump from that starting point to theft, cover up and civil rights violations.     Any time you are in contact with LEO, both your life and freedom are in danger. You never know the true face that hides behind that badge and gun….. Until you see it.

“A Paterson police sergeant was arrested Tuesday as part of an internal affairs and FBI investigation into corruption within the city’s department, authorities said Tuesday.

Sgt. Michael Cheff is the eighth city police officer arrested in the FBI’s corruption probe that began three years ago, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.”

“Cheff is accused of civil rights violations and falsifying police reports. According to an FBI complaint, Cheff is accused of stealing more than $2,000 from the safe of an alleged drug dealer and sometimes falsified paperwork to cover up the thefts of money that other officers stole.”

“The investigation has focused on police officers who allegedly stole thousands in cash from people after illegally stopping and searching their vehicles.

Last year, Officer Daniel Pent admitted to being part of a conspiracy in which the officers routinely illegally stopped residents, both in their vehicles and on the street, and stole money and other items from them.

Cheff, who has been on the job since 1996, was the sergeant who supervised five former patrol officers who have pleaded guilty to taking money from motorists, passengers and other people they illegally stopped.”
