And why do they lie? For the most part ; because they can get away with it. These” Sworn officers of the court” Lie day in and day out because no one in the system cares to call them on it. Only when video evidence surfaces that shows their out right lies does anything happen. Even then it usually results in a slap on the wrist. These are the very same men and women that you and I pay to patrol our streets with a gun. Doesn’t that make you feel safe? It shouldn’t. Your life is potentially in danger anytime you have an encounter with an armed LEO. Remember this: Don’t let them lie. Don’t let them cheat. Video every encounter that you have and see. Make them be accountable if they use violence on a citizen. Most importantly, stay safe and avoid encounters with them.
Remember this guy when you hear sworn testimony in court. “Hero” is an action, not a color. Countless citizens are arrested and convicted on false testimony sworn to by LEO every year. The courts will often times overlook tainted testimony because it keeps the revenues flowing and their paychecks rolling. Whether a prosecutor, a corrupt judge or an attorney they will let testimony go that they know to be tainted. Their sense of justice and the all important fees and fines rolling in out weigh the actual truth. Chances are with this cop, he just did it to the wrong person.
“CLERMONT, Fla. – A Clermont police officer arrested Wednesday on charges of perjury is accused of lying on 16 reports, which has so far resulted in five cases being dismissed, officials said.
Following a months-long investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Officer Cecil Garrett was arrested Wednesday on five counts of perjury by false written declaration.Garrett was placed on paid administrative leave on March 10 after the department received multiple complaints about the officer, Clermont police Chief Charles Broadway said.
Garrett turned himself in to authorities Wednesday and has been placed on administrative leave without pay”
“As of March 9 of this year, the State Attorney’s Office ceased using Cecil Garrett as a witness in the prosecution of any criminal case,” Broadway said during a Thursday news conference.
Garrett was hired by the department in December 2005.
“This arrest stems from a series of isolated incidents that were dealt with swiftly and expeditiously,” Broadway said. “It is in no way reflective of the hard-working men and women of the Clermont Police Department and their commitment to serving the public with integrity and professionalism.”
Garrett allegedly told investigators that he knew the people he pulled over had either a suspended or revoked license, investigators said.
But when they looked into the cases, investigators said they found that Garrett didn’t look up the drivers before or after making a stop.
John Emens’ run-in with Garrett landed him in jail four years ago.
“I was just driving through town. Just came back from the store and he pulled me over,” he said.”
Just remember this: The day before this pervert was busted, he was a hero. He was a bona fida kitten rescuing cop who could do no wrong. The day before this slimebag was busted for perving on children , he was a sworn officer of the court. That’s right, the day before, his word would be given the weight of truth by a judge simply because he was a “Sworn officer of the court”. After his “Truthful” testimony, he could go home and masturbate to videos and images of small children. This is the face of the police state and don’t forget it. It is not about who they are or what do. It is all about blue and representing the power of the state. If they beat brutalize and kill people in the streets they get a pass. Only when one does something so egregious that it cannot be overlooked is something done about it. They will lie about killings, falsify evidence and stonewall the public until truth comes out and they are faced with protests in the streets. This guy’s crime? Well an outsider gave him up for uploading images. Look at the powerful language used when the official statement was issued by the PBSO ““The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards and never forgets about its duty to preserve the public’s trust,” the sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement. “Unfortunately sometimes an employee makes a bad decision which leads to misconduct” Seriously??? A bad decision? A bad decision is when you decide to continue a pursuit in the rain. This guy is a freaking child molester. Remember this guy the next time you sit in a court room. Remember him anytime you hear “Truthful ” testimony given by LEO. Remember him the next time you hear “Sworn officer of the court”. But most importantly, remember him the next time you look at a cop. Look past the blue and wonder who that really is enforcing the laws of the state.
WEST PALM BEACH
“A Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy had more than 30 pornographic videos and pictures of children on his laptop and cellphone, according to West Palm Beach police records.
Adam Godbey, 38, was booked Thursday afternoon into the Palm Beach County Jail on more than two dozen counts of possessing child pornography. Judge Caroline Shepherd ordered he undergo a mental health evaluation.
A search of the IP address determined they were uploaded by a Comcast customer, whose IP address was linked to Godbey, a four-year veteran with the sheriff’s office.
On Wednesday, West Palm police searched Godbey’s home. Police found a cellphone and a laptop hidden above a kitchen cabinet. Dozens of images and videos found on those devices depicted young girls and boys engaging in sexual acts, records state. ”
“Godbey, a road patrol deputy, was praised by the sheriff’s office in 2015 for rescuing a kitten from under a car in Belle Glade.
The driver reportedly told Godbey, “you are the best, I love the cops.”
“The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards and never forgets about its duty to preserve the public’s trust,” the sheriff’s office said in an emailed statement. “Unfortunately sometimes an employee makes a bad decision which leads to misconduct. This misconduct was reported, investigated and determined to be criminal in nature, resulting in the charges.”
What a bunch of insufferable cowards and bullies. Over in Afghanistan a U.S. soldier cannot shoot an enemy combatant unless they are actively holding a weapon. In the U.S hundreds of unarmed citizens are gunned down every year because some “Hero” feared for his life. This woman died because one coward heard a frightening noise. Do you know what the difference is? In Afghanistan they are trying to “Win hearts and minds”. Here, they don’t care because on their turf, you exist in a police state. Don’t like it? Well you may well end up jailed on some trumped up charge if you tell them that. Resisting, obstructing, whatever charge they want to call it. Then after you are processed by the system you get to appear before a corrupt judge who’s sole means of income is derived by the state collecting fees and fines from you and other fine citizens. Sometimes along the way though, innocent people get killed. But hey, you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. This is America, land of the free.
Harteau has been out of town since Saturday’s shooting, but returned to work on Thursday.
The Australian native was shot to death by a Minneapolis police officer Saturday night, after she called police to get help for a woman she thought was being attacked in an alley near her home. She then dialed 911 to make sure authorities were responding to the correct address, CBS Minnesota reports. Damond was shot as she came up to the squad’s driver side window, by Officer Mohamed Noor.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is conducting the investigation. Harteau said she’s asked that the process be expedited to provide transparency.
Harteau has been under growing pressure to speak out about her department’s officer involved shooting, with some in community questioning why she wouldn’t cut her vacation short and return with answers. Harteau addressed reporters just after 5 p.m., saying she was backpacking in the mountains, making it very difficult to return sooner. She said she had spoken with Damond’s fiance Don on Thursday morning.
Though she defended Noor’s training, Harteau says the shooting “did not have to happen” and that Noor’s actions “go against who we are in the department.”
“Justine didn’t have to die. Based on the BCA information, this should not have happened.”
“Noor’s partner, Matthew Harrity, told investigators that he and Noor heard a loud noise immediately before Damond approached the squad car.
The police chief was told by Damond’s fiance that people are scared to call 911 following the deadly incident, CBS News’ Jamie Yuccas reports.
The police chief is working to regain the community’s trust at this point and the chief reassured Damond’s family that she will do everything in her power to make sure justice is served for Damond, Yuccas reports.
Noor has been on the force for 21 months, while Harrity has been an officer for one year.
Damond, 40, was a yoga teacher and meditation instructor.”
And to make her even more frightening…. She was in her Jammies. I think we all know that this degenerate is going to fall back on the old “Feared for his life” defense. But what is wrong when the bar is higher to shoot a foreign fighter in a hostile country than to gun down an American citizen? Don’t think for a minute that you are safe in the presence of a cop. Your life is in danger any time you have contact with LEO. They are cowards and will shoot at anything that frightens them. That means you, your dog, your cat or some woman in her pajamas. Just remember that it is we, the people who give them this authority. Remember that it is us who pay them, us who elect the Sheriffs and us who elect the politicians that make appointments. Think you live in a free country? Think again. You live in a police state and will continue to do so as long as you condone what they do. By not doing anything, you condone what they do. The time to resist is coming. When it is your time, do your part.
“MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota — A woman who called 911 to report a possible sexual assault was shot and killed by a police officer late Saturday night in an incident that is drawing worldwide attention, reports say.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports sources with knowledge of the shooting say Justine Damond, 40, of Sydney, Australia, was in her pajamas and talking to the driver of the patrol car when the officer in the passenger seat drew his weapon and shot Damond through the door of the vehicle.
The officers’ body cameras were turned off at the time of the shooting. No weapons were found at the scene.
An autopsy shows Damond, formerly Justine Ruszczyk, died of a wound to her abdomen, CNN reports.”
It really makes you wonder what is wrong with these people. Do you have to actually pass a test to show that you are sadistic, racist and cruel to be hired on? The stories are unending. If you can still seriously believe that this is just a few bad apples, then I have some land to sell you in Florida. Oh yeah, just make sure you don’t get pulled over while driving. But, I guess from this story, you are not safe at home either.
BARTOW (FOX 13) – Bartow police are reviewing a claim of excessive force after a video was posted online showing a police dog being released on a man who was later charged with resisting arrest.
Marquis Wright, 21, of Bartow, was approached at his home as police tried to serve a warrant on Wright’s younger brother. Three officers are present in the video, which shows Wright on the ground.
A K9 appears to bite the man, and pictures show several places where Wright’s skin was punctured.
“He is a musician, he coaches basketball in the community, so you can’t paint him as some thuggish person that is uncivilized,” said Pastor Clayton Cowart.
But police charged Wright with resisting arrest with and without violence. They say the 50-second video doesn’t tell the whole story of the encounter that lasted several minutes.
Family says police had the wrong guy, that it was really Wright’s little brother who violated probation.
Cowart says the incident parallels what African Americans have experienced in cities around the country.
“We teach our children to go out, respect the law, do what’s right,” he said. “Well, when you do, it still happens.”
Bartow police say this incident is under review, and have met with the pastor, who is also asking for the state attorney’s office to step in.
“Those officers need to be taken out of office if they have this kind of mindset,” said Cowart. “Second, we need a continued addressing of these issues.”
Over the last year, Bartow police have been plagued by issues of race. An officer was fired for calling Barack Obama a gorilla. The chief has also been accused of firing another because he was black.
“Even in our own community, sometimes people just seem to push it by,” said Cowart. “We need to address it and say it does exist. That’s the first thing, you can’t address what you deny.
Well, I guess that was one pissed off person. I wonder what happened to him that brought him to that point? Not everyone is afraid of death or consequences. Everyone, in or out of uniform, should be careful who they fuck with.
“A New York cop was “assassinated” while sitting in her marked patrol vehicle early Wednesday in what NYPD commissioner James O’Neill called an “unprovoked attack.”
Miosotis Familia, 48, died at a hospital early Wednesday, and her suspected shooter died during a separate confrontation with police, who encountered the man running a few blocks away. An uninvolved bystander was shot in the stomach during that incident, but was in stable condition at a hospital, The New York Daily News reported.”
“Officials said the attack happened in the Bronx just after 12:30 a.m. while Familia was sitting in her vehicle with her partner. Her partner radioed for help while other officers spotted the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Alexander Bonds, and began chasing him.
Bonds drew his revolver on police before they began shooting, authorities said.
“She was on duty, serving this city protecting people, doing what she believed in and the job she loved,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said. “After this shocking and sudden attack, her fellow officers came to her aid immediately.”
Yes that’s right: It’s only a few bad apples. And really, they are not racist at all. That is why if you go to Google, Put in the search term “Officer arrested” and hit ” news”, hundreds of recent results pop up. It is amazing what these heroes in blue are up to. Besides porn and racism they are being picked up for assault, battery, rape, child rape, robbery and even murder. Don’t believe me? Go ahead and search for yourself. You will find that when I post my “Hero of the week” segments there is no funny business concerning the amount of arrests. This is what happens when you seek out people who want to have power over others. No one just wakes up one morning and says” I want to wear a badge and a gun and exercise control over my fellow man”. It is who these people are; And it does not make for good people. It makes for people who feel that they have a sense of entitlement. It makes for people who have more in common with bullies and wife beaters than with your average person. We do not need a police force full of domestic warriors terrorizing our streets. We need public servants who are honored to do their only duty which is to serve and protect. As long as the current trend in hiring continues this is only going to get worse. We now live in a defacto police state and serious change must happen or our very freedom is is gone.
PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A Pinellas County deputy has resigned after offensive content was found on his personal cell phone during a separate investigation into an alleged extramarital affair with a corrections deputy.
Shawn Pappas, 46, was employed with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office for 10 years before he resigned at the end of February. He became a corporal approximately 3 years ago.
The content on his phone was racist, sexist and pornographic in nature. There were dozens of pornographic photos of women and offensive memes that were sent and received while Pappas was both on and off duty.
One of the memes mocked the Women’s March in D.C. and said “In one day, Trump got more fat women out walking, than Michelle Obama did in 8 years.
Another showed a white child next to a monkey and reads “Stop Racism, black children and white children are the same.”
There were also memes sent that mocked people with Down Syndrome, gay men and American Indians.
Investigators also discovered videos Pappas made while on duty.
When Pappas was confronted about the content, he resigned from the Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say they would have fired him, had he not resigned.
“JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – For the second time in less than a month, an officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was arrested Saturday, JSO Undersheriff Pat Ivey announced.
Ivey said the agency arrested Officer Timothy James, 38, who has had more than three years of experience with JSO. He is facing one count battery charges following an incident that started at a gas station around the 1900 block of Atlantic Boulevard around 4 a.m.
A patrol sergeant was flagged down by an off-duty JSO recruit who said he had information about two individuals who were wanted in another jurisdiction. During this discussion, a truck pulled up and the JSO recruit said the individuals were in the truck.
The sergeant called for back-up who ended up being Officer James. The officers made contact with the suspects, ran their backgrounds, then detained them after they got a “hit,” Ivey said.
Both the suspects, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were handcuffed and placed in Officer James’ patrol vehicle. The 18-year-old was identified as Abel Campos from Orlando, according to JSO. First Coast News has chosen not to identify the 17-year-old because he is a minor.
As the sergeant was walking away to his patrol vehicle, he noticed James walking away from the backseat where the suspects were placed. One of the suspects then told the sergeant James had hit him, Ivey said. The sergeant inspected the teen and James, but didn’t see any injuries or evidence that the teen had been hit.
The sergeant went back to his vehicle and was proceeding to verify the warrant on the two suspects. When he looked over, Ivey said the sergeant saw James remove the 17-year-old, threw him on the ground and a struggle ensued. Ivey said Campos then got out of the car and hopped on top of James, who then threw the teen to the ground as well. Both the suspects were still in handcuffs, Ivey said.
When the sergeant detained the Campos, he said James “was beating on my brother,” Ivey said.
A second cage unit – or the vehicles where police officers transport suspects – was requested. The sergeant told James to put the 17-year-old back in his patrol vehicle while he held Campos.
Ivey said James not only put the 17-year-old in the backseat, but he also got in the car with him and struck him several times in the face with a closed fist. The sergeant repeatedly asks James to stop. The incident was witnessed by the off-duty JSO recruit.
After the second cage unit arrived, Campos was placed in the vehicle. The sergeant immediately called and reported the incident. JSO conducted an investigation and James was arrested before 1 p.m. He was charged with one count of battery”
You don’t get default hero status just by strapping on a gun and pinning a badge on
Hero is an action, not a color
Any time that you think that you should believe a cop simply because he is a cop and swore an oath
Remember this guy
Just a bad apple?
Go to google put in the term “Officer arrested”, hit “News” and see what pops up
It is not a few bad apples
It is a whole bunch of bad apples
“Gov. Nathan Deal on Monday suspended DeKalb County Sheriff Jeff Mann from office for 40 days after an investigation into his arrest for allegedly exposing himself, then running from police in Piedmont Park.
Deal suspended Mann for a shorter period than the 60-day maximum allowed under state law. The 40-day suspension was recommended by an investigatory committee made up of two sheriffs and Attorney General Chris Carr.
The suspension with pay doesn’t end Mann’s legal ordeal. He faces a July 7 trial in trial in Atlanta Municipal Court, and he’s also being investigated by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, which could suspend or revoke his license. A revocation of Mann’s license would result in his removal from office.
Mann pleaded not guilty but hasn’t provided an explanation. He previously has said he will clear his name. An incident report said a police officer saw Mann expose himself May 6, then flee when the officer identified himself and turned his flashlight on Mann. He was apprehended about a quarter-mile away after leading the officer on a foot chase through Midtown Atlanta streets.”
