WYANDOTTE COUNTY, KS (KCTV) – A Wyandotte County deputy was booked into jail midday Tuesday on charges of rape and sexual exploitation of a child.
Michael Mastel,52, is charged with raping someone under the age of 14. Prosecutors said the criminal actions were all involving a single victim.
Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office District Attorney Mark Dupree said the incidents happened at least three times from December 2011 and between March and June of last year. The victim came forward to tell what happened and authorities got involved.
“The defendant is alleged to have committed these acts with a child he knew and interacted with not in the course of his work with the sheriff’s office,” Dupree said.
Mastel began working for the sheriff’s office in August of 2008 and is now on administrative leave without pay.
Looks like a real tough guy right? Loves to be in control and order people around, force them to do what he wants them to do. Wait… Is that a cop I’m describing or a child molester? Well in this case both. Remember who you may be dealing with anytime you are in contact with one of our blue clad “Heroes”.

Remember the old adage ” A few bad apples spoils the bunch”? Well, when someone says “It’s just a few bad apples” remind them of the rest of the quote. The rest of the bunch has been spoiled. Crime , corruption, lying and abuse has become endemic in those that WE pay to serve and protect. Instead of serving and protecting, they risk their lies everyday to further themselves. They pervert the duty honorably bestowed upon them and abuse the trust of the people they are hired to serve. Duty becomes theft and rape and people shot down in the street. Protect becomes a racket that fills both their pockets and resumes and serve becomes them bellying up to the trough to get all that they can. Enough is enough and it it is time to serve our servants what they serve us; What’s good for them is good for you/
the officer asked, according to court documents. … On Tuesday, nearly 14 years after the inmate complained, Nordo was arrested and charged with dozens … Nordo include rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, official …
Wow! What a week! Seems like those boys in blue just can’t keep that gun in it’s holster! When they are not shooting 14 year olds in the back they are shooting young children in the…..Whoa! What? Yes that is right. Who has the desire to control, force their will upon others and do as they please without ramification? That’s right, bullies , wife beaters , abusers, child molesters other forms of sociopaths. What more can I say? Who chooses a life of ordering people around at the threat of death or imprisonment while being backed up by a virtual army of like minded miscreants? Yes , I think you have the answer, and as long as those type of people are chosen for the job, nothing is going to change. Please enjoy the musical score while reading.
Hide the women and kids! Theyr’e back! Those wacky men and women with guns and Handcuffs! That’s right, be sure not to get pulled over when they are back on the streets. Seems like the only people more rapey and dishonest than lawmakers are law enforcers! Come on in and see the show……..
Of course he thought that he was above the law and the rules didn’t apply to him. He is after all a default “Hero” simply because he wears blue. His testimony in court, the day before the incident, would have been given the weight of truth by a judge because he is a” Sworn officer of the court”. So this type of person is the type that choose to be cops? Short answer… Yes. And that will never change as long as they are responsible for their own accountability. Took a pissed off citizen to bring this guy down.
KENNER – An intoxicated NOPD officer was arrested after leading Kenner Police on a high-speed chase that ended in a fiery crash.
Fifty-three-year-old Carlos Peralta got into an argument with the clerk at a CVS Drugstore in the 800 block of West Esplanade Avenue just before midnight on November 24.
The store clerk refused to sell Peralta alcohol because he was obviously inebriated already, according to the Kenner Police Department.
The clerk called the police, and Peralta got behind the wheel of his vehicle and drove away.
Kenner Police officers caught up to Peralta’s vehicle in the 1400 block of West Esplanade, where they observed Peralta driving recklessly.
Peralta initially stopped his vehicle when ordered to do so, but then he sped away, according to the KPD.
He led police on a high-speed chase on I-10 that ended with a crash in the 5700 block of Morrison Road in New Orleans East.
The vehicle caught fire after the crash, and a 15-year-old passenger who has been described as Peralta’s relative hopped from the burning vehicle and ran to safety.
Peralta, however, refused to exit the burning vehicle, and had to be forcibly removed by arresting officers.
